We offer a range of lawn bowls play for competition or casual occasions. All games are great for being active and social.
Competition
Summer Pennants
The club has the following teams playing pennants during the summer. Click on the divisions to see results and fixtures:
- Tuesday – Ladies Pennants 4's competition, 2nd Division and 3rd Division **
- Thursday - Mens Pennants 4's competition, 2nd Division, 4th Division and 5th Division **
- Friday night - Ladies Pennants 4's competition, 1st Division
- Saturday – Ladies Pennants 4's competition, 1st Division
- Saturday - Mens Pennants 4's competition, 2nd Division, 4th Division ** and 5th Division **
** Denotes Any Gender Divisions
Various Club Championships are also played throughout the season. Club Championships are still played on a gender specific basis.
Social
Off Season Bowls
The club hosts the following events during the off -season winter months:
- Tuesday morning, Any Gender, various drawn play.
- Thursday afternoon, Any Gender, , usually drawn 4's. Names in by 11am
- Friday afternoon, Any Gender, Meatpacks, Scroungers. Names in by 11am
- Saturday afternoon, Any Gender, Drawn pairs Names in by 11am.

Community
Community Bowls
Our club runs a summer community bowls season over 12 weeks commencing mid-November annually, 2023-24 season starts on November 14th. This is a fun competition so get your team together and bowls with friends, family or work colleagues. Accesibile to people of all ages! There are no restrictions with respect to experience. Lawn bowls is easy to understand and coaches are on hand to assist novice players. Enquire today to get your team registered for this coming season.
Club Bedford boasts a proud history of community bowls and continues to host up to 150 members of the community playing bowls weekly during the season.

Free weekly coaching available by an accredited coach. Every Friday 10am to 12 noon by appointment. Our club coach Ann Dark is an accredited coach and her "Learn to Bowl" sessions have helped many new players
